Why become a PADI Instructor in the Philippines?
Live the dream! The PADI Instructor Development Course is designed to give you the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to competently teach diving. It gives you the tools to work anywhere in the world as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI); from tropical liveaboards in French Polynesia to the ship wrecks in the Atlantic Ocean.
The IDC builds upon your Divemaster Course and also teaches you how to manage students, teach courses from Discover Scuba to Divemaster and solve problems. The PADI IDC will set you up for a fantastic career in the scuba diving industry. The IDC consists of two main components:
- Assistant Instructor (AI) Course
- Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course
Once you complete the full IDC, you’ll be eligible to attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) — the final step to becoming a fully certified PADI Instructor. Here at IDP we train our instructor candidates to not only pass the IE but to become the best instructors they can be and to be fully prepared for life as a PADI Pro.
Our PADI Instructor Development Course is built up out of the following components:
- 3 days IDC Preparation Days
- 2 days EFR Instructor Course
- 12 days PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)
- 2 days PADI Instructor Exam (IE)
- 3 days Specialty Instructor Courses / MSDT Prep (optional)
- 2 weeks Learn to Teach Program (optional)
