To be clear — no, we can’t guarantee you a job. But we will do everything we can to support you. That includes helping you build a strong CV, giving you real-world, hands-on experience, and connecting you with our wide network in the dive industry. If you’ve earned it, we’ll also provide a reference letter to help with your job search. Ultimately, job placement depends on your performance, attitude, and how well you fit with potential employers — but you’ll have our full support every step of the way.

Free internships for the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) might sound like a great deal — but there are often hidden strings attached. While some programs offer real value, many require you to work long, unpaid hours at the dive center in exchange for your training. And even though the IDC course itself might be “free,” you’ll still need to cover important costs like:

• PADI application fees

• Instructor Exam (IE) fee

• IDC & EFR Instructor crew packs

• Accommodation, food, and travel

These make up most of the actual cost — so you might only be saving around ₱50,000, while working for months in return. On top of that, you’ll still need to support yourself financially during this time. A smarter option is to earn your OWSI certification first, start teaching, and begin earning commissions right away. Many instructors pay off their IDC quickly once they start working — without months of unpaid labor.

Our IDC takes a total of 19 days from beginning to end for all segments with the option to extend by adding our three-day MSDT Prep Program and our two-week Learn to Teach Program. Our IDC is divided into four sections: three days Preparation Days, two days EFR Instructor Course, twelve days IDC and two days Instructor Exam (IE).

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the training program that prepares Divemasters (or equivalent) to become PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. It consists of two parts: Assistant Instructor (AI) Course and Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course.

The IDC is designed to train you thoroughly for the IE, not just prepare you to pass it. We make you ready for the real world. If you are committed and complete the IDC successfully, most candidates pass the IE. We could never guarantee a ‘Pass’, but we do guarantee we will help you achieve a ‘Pass’ if you’re up to the task. If you need extra time to complete the IDC, no problem — we’ll support you every step of the way. You can learn at your own pace, with options like personal coaching sessions or even joining the next IDC for more hands-on practice and confidence.

The IE is a standardized PADI evaluation conducted over two days by an independent PADI examiner. It includes written exams (Dive Theory & PADI System Standards), Knowledge Development Presentation, Confined Water Teaching and Open Water Teaching including a Rescue Skill Assessment.
